Rilla Lavenna Glass

Rilla Lavenna Glass, 95, died Friday, September 5, 2003 at her home.Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2003 at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation: 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7 at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Rilla was born March 19, 1908 in McDonald, Penn. to Thomas and Arma Kelly Fullick. After high school she attended Thorp Spring College, which later became TCU, and then attended Brantley Draughn in Ft. Worth. Rilla was very talented, she was an artist, professional seamstress, excellent cook, overall she was a great example for everyone. Rilla or "Big Grandma" was a virtuous woman and was loved and highly respected as the matriarch of the Glass family. Survivors: daughter, Peggie Lou Cochran of Arkansas; son, Tom Glass and wife, Joe Ann of Arlington; Daughter, Clair Lavenna Parnell and husband, Joe of Euless; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
