James Richard Taliaferro

James Richard Taliaferro, 68, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, September 27, 2003. James Richard Taliaferro was born July 17, 1935 in Leon, Okla. to James Ernest and Cora Eakins Taliaferro. Jim graduated from Lakeview High School, attended Weatherford College, and North Texas State University, now the University of North Texas. He married Peggy Lee Proffitt on February 5, 1955. Jim served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1958, serving as Airman Second Class. He was a drill sergeant at Lackland Air Force Base and a security carrier at Chanoot Air Force Base. Jim was a lifetime member and past master of Eureka Lodge # 378 A.F. & A.M.; member of the Moslah Shrine Temple Chapter # 58 RAM, Fort Worth, Council # 42 R. & S. M. Fort Worth. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elizabeth Joyce.Survivors: Wife, Peggy Lee Taliaferro of Springtown; son, Terry Lynn Taliaferro and wife, Karon of Springtown; daughter, Vicky Bauer and husband, Mike of Springtown; grandchildren, Sarah Taliaferro, Annie Taliaferro, Nicky Locker, Brent Locker, Caleb Locker; brothers, Don Taliaferro, Sam Taliaferro, Billy Taliaferro, Bobby Taliaferro; sister, Nelda Mitchell; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
