Homer E. Hamerman, age 82, died Wednesday, October 8, 2003 in Weatherford.Homer was born October 20, 1920 in Ottawa, Kansas to Henry Franklin and Besie Mae Gilliand Hamerman. Homer served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a machinist for fifty years. Homer pastored four churches in the area for 27 years, and he oversaw the design and construction of the new First Assembly of God Church in Glen Rose. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Doris, parents, two brothers and a sister.Homer is survived by his sons, Don Hamerman and wife, Bonnie of Omaha, Ark., Doug Hamerman and wife, Sharon of Weatherford; daughters, Sandra Deal and husband, Ben of Grand Prairie, Dianne McKelvey and husband, George of Mineral Wells, Kay Cantrell and husband, Melvin of Weatherford; sisters, Doris Rule and husband, Homer of Lawrence, KS, Maxine Davenport
