Ronald Gene Merx

BOYD -- Ron Merx, 42, a race car driver, and beloved father and son, died Tuesday, October 14, 2003 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Briar. Burial: Azleland Cemetery under the direction of White's Azle Funeral Home. Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Mr. Merx was a seven-year resident of Boyd and cherished by the community. Ron never met a stranger. He made his dream come true by becoming a dirt track champion.
