Joe W. Ross

USAF Retired Lt. Colonel Joe W. Ross, 80, peacefully passed away at his Weatherford home Monday, October 27, 2003.Joe was born September 28, 1923 in Breckenridge, Texas. During his 30 year military career, he was a pilot in World War II, Korean, and Vietnam Wars. He was also an 18 year member of the Parker County Sheriff's Posse.Joe was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Lily L. Ross of Poolville; two sons, Michael and John Ross; and brother, Jessie Ross.He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ruth Ross; three sons, Joe M. Ross and wife, Tara of Aledo, David Ross and wife, Becky of Weatherford, Bob Wells and wife, Gwen of GA; daughter, Michelle Hamric of Millsap; sister, Sharon Harris of Agnes; seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
