Lois Maddux Gilbert

Lois Maddux Gilbert, 89, loving mother and grandmother, died Tuesday, October 28, 2003 in her Brock home. Lois was born July 3, 1914 in Parker County to LuLa Edith Grantham and James Marion Maddux. Lois graduated from Brock schools where she played basketball. She married Virgil A. Gilbert December 15, 1931. Lois was a life long resident of Brock and a member of Brock United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 71 years, Virgil; daughter, Mary Helen Gilbert; one grandson, three sisters, and one brother.Lois is survived by her son, Billy A. Gilbert and wife, Betty of Brock; daughters, Anita Carter of Mineral Wells, Betty Gilbert of Brock, and Joy Allmon and husband, Rick of Weatherford; brother, Weldon Maddux of AZ; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 13 great- great grandchildren.
