Robert Clinton Carter, 85, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, in an Azle hospital. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at White's Azle Chapel. Burial: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home. Robert Clinton Carter was born May 6, 1918, in Parsons, Kan., to Jonahs and Emma Gann Carter. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Robert was a member of the Boyd Masonic Lodge. Survivors: Wife, Arveta McKinney Carter of Azle; children, Leah Butler and husband, James, Clint Carter and wife, Darlene; grandchildren, Kelly Herring, Ryan Herring, Chase Carter and Casey Carter.
