Pencie Henson Franklin, age 71, died Thursday, November 20, 2003 in a Weatherford nursing home.Pencie was born in Iowa Park, Texas on June 19, 1932. She attended Weatherford College. Pencie married Alfred Franklin on January 29, 1949 in the parsonage of First Baptist Church of Weatherford. She worked as a sales clerk for Duke and Ayers, an assembler for Jamak, and as a cashier for Winn Dixie. She was a member of North Side Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, GA leader, and member of the WMU. Pencie was also president of the PTA at James Bowie Elementary, a Girl Scout leader, member of the Fort Worth Ceramic Art Guild, member of the Young Homemakers, and member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her father, W.H. "Bill" Henson.Pencie is survived by her husband, Alfred Franklin of Weatherford; mother, Mary Ruth Creamer Henson of Weatherford; daughter, Cynthia Stevenson of Hewitt, Texas; son, Clifford Franklin and wife, Edith of Lubbock; grandchildren, Amy Rackley of Hewitt, Michael Stevenson of Bryan, Capt. Daniel Franklin and wife, Linda of Little Rock AFB, Beth Ledbetter and husband, Jimmy of Lubbock, Mark Franklin of Plainview, Tim Arocha of Lubbock; great grandchildren, Morgan and Madison Rackley of Hewitt, Reilly Ledbetter of Lubbock, Daniella Franklin of the Philippines; aunt, Faye Reppond of West Monroe, LA; and several cousins.
