Bessie L. Burgess

Bessie L. Burgess, 97, a housewife, died Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at a Fort Worth nursing home.Bessie Lee Burgess was born February 22, 1906 in Parker County to Charles Joseph Landers and Edna L. Bagwell Landers. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. C. Burgess and great grandson, Shane Garner.Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Futch of Weatherford, Helen Adcock and husband, Sam of Weatherford, Merle Burgess of Fort Worth; sons, Claude R. Burgess and wife, Eva of Dallas, Wayman Burgess and wife, Peggy of Weatherford, Charles Joe Burgess and wife, Lynne of Fort Worth; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sisters, Nell Diehl of Godley and Cloe Bankhead of Fort Worth.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle.
