Gladys A. Ross, 94, a former resident of Aledo, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at a Cleburne nursing home.Gladys A. Ross was born June 17, 1909 in Bandera, Texas to Cook Easton Moore and Sadie Ray Tilley Moore. She married Ed Ross on November 10, 1931. Together they owned and operated a dairy in Aledo. She raised three sons and countless Holstein dairy cows. Gladys was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Aledo, where she had a reputation for great home cooking. Her quiet and kind ways touched many who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Ross, Sr.; and sons, Ed Ross, Jr. and Frank J. Ross.Survivors include son, Jack Ross and wife, Jayne; daughters-in-law, Ann Ross and Maggie Ross; sisters, Francis Ross, Shirley McClendon, Billie Ruth Sherrill; brother, Fred Moore; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
