Evelyn Inez Wester Brothers"Ebby" Brothers left us to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2003.Born to Rev. John James Wester and Eva Mae Jones Wester on June 27, 1915 in Sipe Springs, Texas, she married Al Brevard Brothers in Gonzales, Texas soon after graduating from Gonzales High School in 1933. Al predeceased Ebby in 1986, and she will be buried with him in the Kokernot Family Cemetery near Shiner, Texas. Surviving are three sons, Al Brevard, Jr. and wife, Claudia of Berclair, Texas, David Lee of San Antonio, Texas, and Donley Wester and wife, Melissa of Leavenworth, Kansas. Also surviving are six grandsons; eleven great grandchildren; and one great- great grandson, all of whom cherish the love, Christian values, the "good genes", and small town customs given by Ebby.Other relatives whom Ebby loved and who loved and cared for her include; grandson, Kerry of Weatherford; niece, Norma Ham and husband, Sonny of Weatherford; and their daughter, Rhonda of Fort Worth; and dear friends such as former daughter-in-law, Judy Wells and husband, Tom of Leavenworth, KS; neighbor, Martha Bennett and husband, Doug of Weatherford; and former neighbors, Patricia Warner and son, Tyler of Brock.Ebby will be mourned by many in the Weatherford Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, of which she was a proud and honored member, and by many other relatives and friends of Weatherford, Parker County, Texas, and other states and countries.The family greatly appreciates all that has been done for Ebby by these sincere friends and relatives, and for the professionalism and thoughtfulness demonstrated by the staff of Campbell Health Systems and the Santa Fe Health and Rehab.
