Donald Lee Halbrook, 62, died Friday, January 9, 2004 in Weatherford.Don was born May 17, 1941 in Shannon County, MO to Arnett and Norma Halbrook. He served in the U.S. Air Force for seven years and was married to Nancy King Halbrook for 42 years. Don had been a resident of Weatherford for 32 years and was a magnificent author of several novels. He was employed by Weatherford College and Johnson Control. He is loved much and will always be missed. Survivors include wife, Nancy Halbrook; daughters, Loretta Halbrook Huddleston and son-in-law Gary Huddleston of Weatherford, Donna Halbrook Towles and son-in-law Gerald Towles of Weatherford, Linda Halbrook Cook and son-in-law Frank Cook of Richland Hills; he is also survived by grandchildren, Holly Huddleston Gray and husband Eric Gray, Heath Huddleston, Josh Towles, Dawn Towles Goodwin and husband Chad Goodwin, and Brant Cook; brothers, Charles Halbrook, Dennis Halbrook; step-brothers, Chuck Davis and Bill Davis; and cousins, Marie and Eldon Thomas.
