Lexie Mildred Haney, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 9, 2004. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Briar Church of Christ with Kenton Harvey and Ted Horn officiating. Burial: Pope Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Memorials: Christ's Haven for Children, 4150 Keller-Haslet Rd, Keller, TX 76248. Mildred was born near Azle on Jan. 4,1912, the oldest daughter of "Bud" and Lee Moran. She graduated from North Side High School and attended Texas Women's University. Mildred worked at Convair during WWII and retired from Tracor. Her best times were spent with her family and in her beautiful gardens. She was preceded in death by husband Arvel Haney and sister Ruth Moran. Survivors: Children, Alice Brown Waggoner of Decatur, James R. Haney and wife, Joan, of Azle, Wayne Haney and wife, June, of Southlake, Lynn R. Haney and wife, Briggett, of San Antonio; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
