Alma Ruth Harms, 86, went home to be with her Lord Friday, January 16, 2004 in Weatherford.Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, at White's Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Sunday at White's Funeral Home. Alma Ruth Harms was born January 22, 1917 in Wise County. In 1947, Alma Ruth and her husband moved to Springtown and entered into the dairy business. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Springtown, and a member of the Methodist Quilting Club. Mrs. Harms was a past member of the Parker County Home Demonstration Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Harms was preceded in death by husband, W.C. "Carroll" Harms in June, 1994; son, Wendell Ray Harms in August, 1987; and sisters, Oleta Jones and Etheline Read in September, 2003.Survivors: Sons, Melton Harms and wife Mary, Dennie Harms and wife Janice, both of Springtown; grandchildren, Alicia Ellis, Ronnie Harms, Randy Harms, Shauna Simmons, Blu Harms. Tiffany Harms; and nine great-grandchildren.
