Vera L. "Honey Bun" Cole, 79, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at Azle.Vera L. Cole, affectionately known as "Honey Bun" was born February 16, 1924 in Depot, Texas to Isaac Newton and Elva Williams Burchinal. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Drury J. Cole in 1983; grandson, Jackie Donald "Donnie" Cole, II in 1976; and brother, Troy Burchinal.Survivors include children, Jack Cole and wife Connie of Springtown, Johnny Cole of Fort Worth, Joretta Cole Lanier and husband, Bill of Azle; grandchildren, Constance Denise Cole Trinkman and husband, Michael, Chad Lanier and wife, Michelle, Kristi Lanier Jones and husband, Larry, Allen Cole and wife, Alinda, Aaron Cole and wife, Donna, Dana Lanier Carrey and husband, Shawn; great grandchildren, Hannah Trinkman, Asher Trinkman, Matthew Trinkman, Seth Trinkman, Hadassah Trinkman, Alexandria Lanier, Santana Lanier, Koby Lanier, Brayden Hay, Cody Anderson, Sean Anderson, Nathan Cole, Cheyenne Cole, Jesi Cole, C.J. Jones, Casey Jones, Brandon Carrey, Kayleigh Carrey; stepmother, Mable Burchinal Lynn of Depot, Texas; sister, Marsha Burchinal Lynch of Fort Worth; brothers, Philip Burchinal of Houston and I.N. Burchinal, Jr. of Honey Grove; and a host of relatives and friends.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at White's Azle Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Azleland Cemetery, Azle. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
