Eunice L. "Rhoten" Welch, 89, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2004 at an Azle nursing facility.Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at White's Funeral Home in Springtown. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at White's Funeral Home. Memorials: Christ's Haven or American Heart Association.Eunice was born to John David and Minerva Rhoten on September 12, 1914 in Wise County. She was the youngest of 15 children. Eunice was retired from sales at Monnings and Stripling's in downtown Ft. Worth. She attended church at Springtown Church of Christ before she and her husband, Willis Welch, Sr. moved to Ft. Worth in 1962. Eunice was a charter member of Midtown Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, in January 1979; her mother and father; eight sisters; and six brothers.Survivors: Daughters, LaWanda Meyer of Ft. Worth, Martha Fowler and husband, Bobby of Azle; son, Willis Welch, Jr. of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Joyce Roach and husband, Randy, David Fowler, and Gary Fowler; great-grandchildren, Bryan Roach, Shannon Roach, John Roy Fowler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
