Mozelle Phillips, 86, a good mother, housewife and grandmother, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 in Azle.Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2004 at First United Methodist Church. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mozelle was born Sept. 13, 1917 in Springtown to Jake and Pearl Oxford. She was a lifelong resident of Azle and Springtown. Mozelle was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a dear friend to everyone who knew her. Preceding her in death were her husband, Doug; parents; and three brothers.Survivors: Daughter, Doris Jennings and husband, Phil of Azle; son, Jimmy Phillips and wife Teresa of Azle; grandchildren, Scott Rose and wife, Debra of Fort Worth, Keith Rose and wife Lorraine of Fort Worth, Tim Phillips and wife, Becky of Azle, Bob Phillips of Azle; also numerous great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and friends.
