Andrew M. V. JOHNSON

Andrew M.V. Johnson, 96, passed away Friday, March 5, 2004 at his home after a lengthy illness.Funeral: 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at City Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford. Visitation: 6-8:00 pm Monday evening at White's Funeral Home. Andrew was born January 25, 1908 in Stoneburg to Manning V. and Abigail M. Hill Johnson. Andrew married Minnie R. Gouge November 12, 1929 in Altus, OK. They had four children. Andrew retired from General Dynamics in 1973. He was a longtime member of Eureka Baptist Church. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, three sisters, and first born infant son, Aubrey Wayne Johnson. A special thanks and appreciation to American Hospice, Chris Connaly, RN, Dr. Sumant Kummar, Roma Saunders, full time care giver, Weatherford Senior Center, Meals on Wheels, Travis Lowrance, weekly volunteer to visit Andrew and family, Rev. Steve Griffin, Charles and Nelda Sullivan, along with Vernon and Ruth Guerry, faithful Prayer Warriors and visitors and former pastor Gene Burke.Survivors: wife of 74 years, Minnie R. Johnson; sons, Norman Ray Johnson of St. Joseph, MO and Don Zeland Johnson of Weatherford; daughter, Linda Janice Cornelison of Dennis; sisters, Viola Wells of Kingsland, Marcella Richardson of Lubbock, and Josephine Bingham of San Juan Batista, CA; grandchildren; great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
