Donald Wayne Thompson, 56, died suddenly on Saturday, March 6, 2004, with his wife by his side. Funeral Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at First United Methodist Church. Burial: Memory Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, March 9, 2004. Donald was born on August 6, 1947, in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1965 and entered the military in January, 1967. He served in the Army and retired as a Command Sergent Major after 34 years of service. Donald graduated from Cameron University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. After his retirement from the military, he worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer with Parker County Juvenile Probation Office until his death. He was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed participating in tournaments throughout Texas and Oklahoma, and he especially enjoyed his Sunday golf games with his buddies. Donald never met a stanger and will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.Survivors: Loving wife and best friend of 37 years, Charlotte; daughters, Carrie Thompson, Kymberly Densmore and husband Tuck; step grandchildren, Draye and Dansa Densmore; brother-in-law, Ronnie Bane and wife, Kay; mother-in-law Dorothy Bane; nephew Chris Bane and wife Mandy; special cousin, Sandy Kirkland and husband, George; and a host of extended family and friends.
