John Noel Sewell

John Noel Sewell, 79, a retired minister, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at a Weatherford nursing home.John Noel Sewell was born August 1, 1924 in Wood County to John S. and Mattie Pearl Clanton Sewell. He was pastor of churches in Kansas, New Mexico, and Weatherford where he retired from Eureka Baptist Church. John was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Alicia Williams. Survivors include wife of 57 years, Bettye Sewell of Weatherford; children, Carolyn Larson of Weatherford, Anita Lynn Williams and husband, Leslie of Chandler, Kathy Leger and husband, Eugene of Spingfield, VA; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Bennie Barnett and husband, James of Weatherford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.Memorial services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, March 22, at First Baptist Church in Weatherford.
