Wilma Jo Spurrier Cayton, 72, passed away April 1, 2004 in Yuba City California.Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 9, 2004 at White's Azle Chapel. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 8, 2004 at the funeral home. Interment: Azleland Cemetery. Wilma was born to Orville and Alpha Sappington on September 27, 1931 in Southwest City, MO. She loved crocheting, sewing and cooking. Wilma loved to talk on the phone with friends and enjoyed being with her family and especially her grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her first husband, W. G. (Dub) Spurrier, her parents, three brothers, Kenneth Eugene, Harold Lee, and Bill Sappington.Survivors: Husband, Robert Cayton of Yuba City, CA.; son, Douglas Spurrier and wife Sally of Camp Wood, TX; daughter, Pamela Ann Spurrier of Yuba City, CA; brothers, Jerry Don Sappington and wife, Kathy of Wagoner, OK and Michael Wayne Sappington and wife Nada of Lawton, OK; granddaughters, Candy Michelle Barrett and husband Mark of Angleton, TX, Amber Dawn Spurrier Mayhugh and husband Johnny of Clyde, TX; grandson, Douglas Wayne "Chip" Spurrier II of Baghdad, Iraq; step-sons, Robert Cayton of Minneapolis, MN, Bryan Cayton of Virgina Beach, VA; step-daughter, Suzanne Hahto of Virginia Beach, VA; step-grandchildren, Lu Fayne Helmers and husband Dru and Cheryl Lynn Peterson of Monahans, TX, Lisa, Danille and Nicholas Hahto of Virginia Beach, VA. Michael Cayton of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert, John and David Cayton of Minneapolis, MN; great-grandchildren, Heather, Chelsea, Austin and Shilo of Angleton, TX, Kylar of Clyde, TX, Chelsea and Chance of Monahans, TX, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
