A. G. Gilley

A. G. Gilley, 83, a retired Power Plant Operator, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004 in Azle. Funeral services: 4:00 P.M. Thursday, at White's Azle Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: Azleland Cemetery. A.G. served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II. He retired from Texas Electric Service Company in 1976 after 30 years of service. A.G. graduated from Azle High School In 1941. He loved being with his family and operating his Ham Radio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florine, and daughter, Linda Goode. Survivors: Daughter, La Juan Daniels of Fort Worth; son, A.J. Gilley of Fort Worth; son-in-law Sonny Goode; grandchildren, Sandra Pope, Ronnie Goode; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Joshua Pope, Mia and Tye Goode; sister Rebecca Freeman of Fort Worth; brother, Jack Gilley of Azle.
