Jack Woods

Jack Woods, 80, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2004, in Weatherford. Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, White's Azle Chapel Interment: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Jack was born Dec. 30, 1923, to Robert and Ucal Ruth Willis Woods in Haskell. He had been an Azle resident for over 50 years. Jack served in the U.S. Army in World War II, receiving two Bronze Stars and several other medals. He was preceded in death by wife, Elnora, in 1994; son, John Downs, in 1995; and parents. Survivors: Daughter, Diana Canady of Azle; grandchildren, Melissa Lindsey and husband, Scott of Fort Worth, Charles Myers and wife, Tammy of Azle, Kymberli Myers of Azle and Jamie Downs of Denver, Co.; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Ashley, Marissa, Kyla, Kyle and Haley.
