Bill R. Arledge, of Weatherford, born in Rochelle, Texas on Dec. 30, 1931 passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2004 at 72 years of age. After serving four years in the U.S. Air Force Bill attended and graduated from Texas A&M in 1958. Upon graduation Bill and wife, Narcis and family moved to Louisiana to begin a lifetime career in the oil and gas industry. During that time Bill was a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, National Association of Professional Engineers, Past Chairman of API Fort Worth Chapter.Other than the oil and gas business, Bill was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Survivors include wife of 51 years, Narcis Arledge; daughter, Pattie Hall; sons, Jay Arledge and wife, Carla, Stu Arledge, Andrew Arledge and wife Anita; grandchildren, Hunter Hall and Beau Hall; brothers, Tillman Arledge and Bobby Arledge; sister, Mary Poole.The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Weatherford Health Care for their excellent care show to Mr. Arledge during his time there.In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations may be made in the name of Bill Arledge to the Association of Former Students Texas A&M, Gift Processing, 505 George Bush Drive, College Station, Texas 77840.
