Kenneth Wayne Lucas, retired electronic engineer, died Sunday, May 16, at his residence on Lake Weatherford. He was born March 21, 1934, Merkel, TX, to Manuel Almer Lucas and Zuella Jane Hall.Ken served in the US Navy aboard the USS St. Paul, CA-73, from 1952 to 1956, and during the Korean Conflict.He was preceded in death by his father in 1965.Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ima Singleton Lucas, of the home; his mother, Zuella Hall Terrell, of Ft. Worth; daughter, Sandra Lucas Hadley and husband, Robert, of Cary, NC; son, Kelly Wayne Lucas, US Army, and wife, Darleen, of Copperas Cove, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeremy Hadley of Cary, NC, Kody Lucas of Anchorage, AK, Taylor Lucas, Trey and Ashley Henderson of Copperas Cove, TX,; sisters, Betty Jean Black of West Columbia, TX, and Juanez Todd of Tyler, TX; brother, Doyle "Butch" Lucas of Houston, TX; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
