SPRINGTOWN -- Grover Allen Reynolds, 81, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 21, 2004 in Ft. Worth. Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 24, at First Baptist Church of Springtown. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 4-6 p.m., Sunday at White's Funeral Home. Grover Allen Reynolds was born January 31, 1923 to Henry and Mary Ruth Pearl Pennington Reynolds in Sweeney, Texas. Mr. Reynolds graduated from Azle High School. He attended Texas A&M University for two years before joining the U.S. Army. Mr. Reynolds served during W.W. II. After his service in the military, he worked as a dairyman before returning to college. He attended the University of North Texas where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. After college he taught in the Weatherford ISD for 31 years before retiring in 1991. Mr. Reynolds was a member of Mensa, the Eureka Masonic Lodge in Springtown, and the First Baptist Church of Springtown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loraine in 1999. Survivors: Daughters, Jan Neely and husband, Darrel of Springtown; Joyce Simmons and husband, Phil Jr. of Weatherford; sisters, Minnie Leppard of Stafford, Betty Shafer of Dallas; grandchildren, Angela Casey of Weatherford, Jennefer Graham of Baytown, Derek Neely of Springtown, Shelley Allen of Arlington, Russell Simmons of Brooklyn, NY, and Kate Luffy of Odenton, MD; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
