Robert Randall "Randy" Carter, 48, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at a Weatherford hospital.Robert Randall "Randy" Carter was born August 16, 1955 in Weatherford to Sam and Teno Carter. He was a 1973 graduate of Weatherford High School. Randy was an Eagle Scout and a member of the high school tennis team. Randy received his bachelors and master's degree from Texas Christian University where he graduated summacumlade, a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, and member of the tennis and ping- pong teams. Randy was an avid fisherman and "42" player. Randy was the fourth generation owner of the Carter Ivy Hardware Store, which celebrated its 102 anniversary. Randy was a life long member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Randy is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include wife, Glenda Cardona Carter of Weatherford; son, Tav Carter of Dallas; sister, Julie Gremminger and husband, Mike of Weatherford; nephew, Brandon Gremminger of Austin; nieces, Lauren, Sarah, Katie Gremminger all of Weatherford; aunt, Sid Thompson of Weatherford; and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2004 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Weatherford. Burial will be in City Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford, Texas. Rosary services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford.
