William "Bill" Sanders, 91, passed away Friday, July 9, 2004 at his home after a long battle with kidney failure.William "Bill" Sanders, the son of Frank and Hertha Sanders, was born October 8, 1912 in Black Jack, Texas. He was married to Lucia Mae Martin on April 7, 1934. Mr. Sanders was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for 53 years. Mr. Sanders was a well-known Palo Pinto rancher and investor. He was very active in soil conservation and retired from the Palo Pinto Soil Conservation District after 35 years service. He also retired from the Board of Directors for Erath County Electric Co-op and Brazos Power after 25 years service.Survivors include daughter, Scherry Maddux and husband, Joe of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Amy Dauber and husband, Gary of Wichita, Ks, and Suzanne Maddux of Fort Worth; great granddaughter, Kylie Amanda Dauber of Wichita, KS; sister, Alice Johnson of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 NW 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells. Burial will follow in the Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home, Mineral Wells. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 300 NW 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells, Texas 76067 or to a charity of your choice.
