William "Price" Fowler, 80, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at a Fort Worth hospital.William Price Fowler was born April 15, 1924 in Ennis, Texas to Robert Allvin and Virginia Lee Peterman Fowler. Price served in the United States Navy during WWII where he flew Corsair airplanes. He moved to Weatherford in 1948. Price worked for Weatherford Oil and Tool for 38 years, retiring in 1986. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Fowler in 1984.Survivors include wife of 60 years, Louise Fowler of Weatherford; son, Richard Fowler and wife, Connie of Weatherford; daughters, Brenda Bryant and husband, Danny of Garland, Linda Butler and husband, E.G. Jr of Aledo; brother, Jack Fowler of Riverside, CA; sister, Dorothy, Stringer of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Rod, Rene, Will, Donna, Pam, Price, Sherrill, and Brian; and 12 great grandchildren.Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2004 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford with Reverend Paul Porter officiating. Active Pallbearers for the service will be Richard Cummins, John A. Elders Jr., Paul Everroad, Jess Hall, Dave Lang and Boley Pearson. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Cummins, Jim Owen, Kelly Purvis and H.A. Thompson. Interment services will be 2:30 p.m. in the Rice Cemetery, Rice, Texas. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford.
