Lillian Goodyear Kimbler, 77, died in Weatherford, Texas on July 24, 2004. She was born October 4, 1926 in Des Moines, New Mexico to Francis and Norma Goodyear.A graduate of Stamford High School, Stamford, Texas, Mrs. Kimbler attended Hardin-Simmons University, New Mexico State University, and El Paso Community College. After managing a doctor's office for ten years, she served as a program coordinator for the Texas Medical Society and the Assistant Public Relations Director at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas.Mrs. Kimbler moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona in 1985 where she did volunteer work with the Audubon Society, AARP, the Prescott Valley Library, the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board of Directors of the Prescott Valley Voters Association. From 1991 to 1993, she wrote a gardening column for the Prescott Valley Tribune. Other interests include music, sports, and politics.Mrs. Kimbler was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell E. Kimbler, Jr. in 1987.She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Anne Phillips of Weatherford; two brothers, Dr. F.H. Goodyear of Gordon and Don L. Goodyear of Arlington; three grandchildren, Amanda, Dillon, and Gannon Phillips.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to your local library.
