Harvey Vernon Rose

Vernon Rose, 82, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in Springtown.Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31`, at White's Funeral Home. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 7-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Vernon Rose was born Oct. 25, 1921 to George and Mary Elizabeth Hopkins Rose. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Rose retired as supervisor with Reeder Petroleum in Euless. He belonged to Diana Lodge #1138 and was a 32nd Scottish Rite Mason. Mr. Rose was also a lifetime member of Ft. Worth Model "A" Ford Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie in July, 2003.Survivors: Son, John A. Rose and wife, Marylou of Irving; daughters, Jo Ann Adams and husband, Eugene of Paris, Nell McCormack and husband, James of Quitman, Rita Lyons and husband, James of Jacksboro; grandchildren, Joe Adams, Cindy Bills, Marilyn Harrison, Alan Canaday, David Landers, Vince Canaday, Tammy Peugh, and Jennifer Pruett; and six great-grandchildren.
