Lillian May Lucas, 81, a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away Friday, September 10, 2004 in Fort Worth, Texas after a long- hard fought battle with Alzheimer's Disease.Lillian May Crist was born October 29, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roscoe and Ivy Fern Crist. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone as an operator in her young adult life and then went on to enjoy a long and satisfying life as a military wife in the United States Air Force. She was married to Major Robert E. Wilson for twenty years and raised two children, Bruce and Cathy. After Robert's sudden death in 1963, she was married to Lt. Col. John D. Lucas in 1968 until his death in 1985. Lillian was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in New Braunfels, Texas until she moved to Fort Worth where her daughter and family helped care for her until her death.Her family will miss her and know that she is with her beloved Lord and Savior. Lillian will continue to watch over and care for her family as she did so beautifully in life. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Bob Crist.Lillian is survived by her son, Bruce and wife, Ellen; daughter, Cathy Auen and husband, Walt; grandchildren, Brad Wilson, Becky Baker and husband, Joe, Tracy Auen and wife, Kristin; great grandchildren, Brennen Baker and Haley Auen; sisters, Jo Boggess and Nancy Crist; brothers, Bill Crist and Bud Crist; sisters-in-law, Betty Crist, Cora Crist, Lorraine Crist, Ginny Baron, and Vivian Wilson; and one brother-in-law, Sam Baron; and many nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004 at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 117 Ranch House Road, Willow Park, Texas. She will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery.
