James Jackson Rogers, 73, a retired Aerospace Engineer, died Thursday, September 23, 2004 in Springtown.Memorial Service: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, Eagle Mountain United Methodist Church. James was born to William Harold and Marguerite Hoover Rogers January 22, 1931 in Amarillo. He served in the U. S. Marines for 18 months, he was honorably discharged, after which he re-enlisted into the U. S. Air Force serving 4 years. After his military service he received a Bachelors Degree from University of Texas at Arlington in Aerospace Engineering. He served 45 years with Lockeed Martin, retiring in 1999. Mr Rogers was active in Boy Scouts of America in Arlington for many years. He was a member of Eagle Mountain United Methodist Church.Survivors: wife of 52 years, Helen S. Rogers of Arlington; daughters, Margaret Kathryn Drennan of Shortsville, NY. and Jeanne R. LaGrone of Springtown; son, Douglas Alan Rogers of Griffin, GA; brother, William Harold Rogers Jr. of Las Cruses, NM.; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
