John "Bill" Peterson, 79, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away suddenly at his residence in Millsap on the evening of Thursday, September 30, 2004.John William "Bill" Peterson was born October 14, 1924 to Bernhard Peterson and Gerda Marie Olsson Peterson. Bill was a resident of El Paso, Texas from 1964 to 2001, where he was a member of Sun Valley Baptist Church. While in El Paso, Bill worked as a diesel mechanic for Cummings Rio Grande and later for Ryder Trucks until his retirement in 1989.Bill and his wife, Evelyn moved to Millsap, Texas where they retired to quiet country living in 2001. In his spare time Bill loved to spend time in his wood-crafting shop, and he was an avid fisherman. But the thing Bill loved the most was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by all.Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and four sons, Jack Peterson in 1956, Dennis, Kevin and Ben Peterson in 1988.Survivors include wife of 58 years, Evelyn Peterson of Millsap; son, Thomas Peterson and wife, Tracy of Millsap; daughters, LuAnn Kinsey and husband, John of Millsap, Linell Lane of San Diego, CA, Lynette Patton of Houston, LeAnn Berg and husband, Mark of Maddison, WI; 30 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brother, Ben Peterson of Sheridian, WY; one niece and three nephews.Memorial Service services are scheduled 2 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2004 at the First Baptist Church of Millsap. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2004 at White's Funeral Home in Mineral Wells.
