Joe Weldon "J.W." Stewart, 88, passed away Friday, October 8, 2004 in Weatherford.Funeral: 2:00 P.M., Tuesday October 12, at White's Chapel of Memories. Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Monday at White's Funeral Home. J.W. Stewart was born June 25, 1916 in Poolville to Silas and Veda Thompson Stewart. He was a long-time resident of Parker County. Mr. Stewart was a 50 year member of Weatherford Masonic Lodge, Past Master of Phoenix Lodge #275. He was also District Deputy Grand Master, a member of the Ft. Worth Scottish Rite, and the recipient of the Golden Trowel from the Phoenix Lodge. Mr. Stewart honorably served his country during WW II in Europe. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and wife, Kathryn.Survivors: Daughters, Judy Willhite and husband, Mike of Weatherford, Candy Hale of Decatur; grandsons, Cameron Hale and wife, Cynthia of Weatherford, Cody Willhite of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Makayla; and many other friends and acquaintances.
