Wesley Jester, 58, a loving husband, father, and friend, passed away Friday, October 22, 2004 at home in Weatherford after a courageous battle with cancer.Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Monday, Oct. 25, at Central Christian Church in Weatherford. Burial: 1:30 p.m., Bourland Cemetery in Keller. Visitation: 5-7 p.m., Sunday at White's Funeral Home Weatherford. Memorials: Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3301 W. Freeway, Ft. Worth,TX 76107.Wesley Jester was born in Ft. Worth October 13, 1946 to Thurman and Opal Williams Jester. He was a graduate of Boswell High School class of 1965. Wesley served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1969 during which he was in Vietnam. He married Leta Smith of Keller in 1970. Wesley was a member of Central Christian Church. He worked as a locomotive engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad for 33 years. Wesley was preceded in death by his father.Survivors: Wife of 34 years, Leta Jester; son, John Jester and wife, Stephanie of Weatherford; daughter, Gena Jester of Winston-Salem, NC; brother, Ronnie Jester and wife, Tami of Granbury; mother, Opal Jester of Saginaw, three nieces; and three nephews.
