Tom L. Shelton, 53, a retired teacher, died Saturday, December 4, 2004 in Fort Worth after a brief illness.Tommy Larkin Shelton was born in Kansas City, MO on February 9, 1951 to Robert Godfrey Shelton and Madge R. Upmore Shelton. He was a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. Tom taught at Azle High School for 27 years where he dedicated his life to helping his students achieve success in their lives. He was preceded in death by infant son, Benjamin in 1982; and father, Robert Shelton. Survivors include wife of 26 years, Loretta Eubanks of Weatherford; mother, Madge Shelton of Fort Worth; brother, Gary Shelton and wife, Margie of Decatur; sister, Sharon Watkins and husband, Jerry of Rogers, AR; nephews, Jeremy Shelton of Decatur, James Watkins and wife, Amanda of El Dorado, AR; and niece, Suzanne Shelton of Decatur.Memorial Services are scheduled 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at White's Azle Funeral Home Chapel, Azle.
