Jeremiah Jay Cook, age 16, passed away suddenly on Christmas morning in Weatherford, Texas Jeremiah was born on May 27, 1988 in Westminster, Maryland had lived most of his life in Weatherford. Jeremiah attended schools in Weatherford and achieved a General Education Diploma. He had numerous awards and was an A-B Honor Roll student. He had a great love of music and was a self-taught musician, and an accomplished poet. Baseball and basketball were two of his favorite sports, playing several years in Little League. Jeremiah had hopes of either going to Weatherford College or joining a branch of the military. Jeremiah was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Lynn cook in October 2004. He is survived by his father, Randolph Jay Cook of Weatherford; brothers, Christopher Wayne King and Clayton Blake Cook; grandparents, David McQuien of Pontotoc, and Beverly McQuien of Fort Worth, Granny Shirley King of Weatherford, Jo Ann Kennedy of Payson, AZ, David Cook Sr., and Carol of Westminster, MD; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. Contributions to assist with funeral expenses may be sent to the family in care of White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Memorial services will be held 12 p.m. (noon) Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the Rock of Helps Church, 801 Tremont Street, Weatherford, Texas. The family will gather at the home of Shirely King following the services.
