LaVerne Lewis

WEATHERFORD -- LaVerne Lewis, 86, passed away Friday, March 4, 2005 in Weatherford. Graveside Services: 2 p.m., Tuesday at Eastland Cemetery. LaVerne Lewis was born December 14, 1918 in Pioneer, Texas to John and Callie Waters Dill. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Lewis retired from the Ft. Worth ISD as a first grade teacher. She was an accomplished cook, seamstress, and everyone's favorite aunt. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clarence C. Lewis. Survivors: Brother, Bill Dill and wife, Diane; sister-in-law, Pat Dill; and numerous Dill and Lewis nieces and nephews.
