WEATHERFORD -- Mildred Murl Chilcutt, 92, passed away Saturday morning, March 5, 2005, at a local nursing home. Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ray White officiating. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Mildred Chilcutt was born in Carter Community, north of Weatherford. She was the daughter of Samuel Jackson Beene and Sally Wright Beene, pioneer residents of Parker County. Mildred attended Carter school. She married Ed Chilcutt in 1927. Mildred was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by husband, Edgar Chilcutt; and daughter, Annie Ruth Plumlee. Survivors: Daughters, Murlene Baker and husband, Jesse of Victoria, Verna Martin and husband, Bill of Weatherford; son, Tommy Chilcutt and wife, Kim of Weatherford; son-in-law, Howard Plumlee of Weatherford; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and brother, Obie Beene of Weatherford.
