Wanda Jean Dorn, 63, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005.Wanda Jean Dorn was born September 18, 1941 in Amarillo, Texas to Lewis and Rubye Gatten Murphy. Wanda met her best friend, life partner, father of her children, and husband, Bobby on December 16, 1957. Wanda was a partner in Dorn's Inc., Big Country Energy Inc., Mariah Custom Inc., Mariah Custom Homes Inc., and many other ventures with her husband. Wanda enjoyed traveling in their motor-home, where she along with Bobby and Scooter traveled to all fifty states and most of Canada, as well as numerous cruises. She was an avid fisherman, enjoying fishing with her favorite fishing buddy, Louise.Due to an organ donor, Wanda survived a double lung transplant in 2000, and enjoyed a few more years of traveling until her death. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Murphy and Rubye Gatten Powell; grandparents, G. G. Sr. and Laura Gatten; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Grady Dorn and Deane Loter.Wanda is survived by her loving husband for 46 years, Bobby Dorn of Willow Park; daughter, Denise Davis of Springtown; son, Donnie Dorn and loving daughter-in-law, Chigger of Willow Park; brother, Larry Murphy of Belton; grandchildren, Haley Brewer of Lewisville, T. J. Davis of Cheyenne, WY, Josh Dorn of Willow Park, Derek Davis of Springtown, Mariah Dorn of Willow Park; sisters-in-law, Sharon Murfield and Dorrette Dorn; step brother-in-law, Larry Loter; and last but not least, her beloved dog, Scooter.Funeral Service are scheduled 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005 at the Willow Park Church of Christ, Willow Park, Texas. Burial will follow in the Annetta Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford..
