GRAFORD -- Maurine LaNeve O'Laughlin, 84, died Monday, March 21, 2005, in Fort Worth. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at her beloved Dark Valley Ranch, seven miles west of Graford on Hwy 254. Burial: All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Ill. Maurine was born Nov. 3, 1920, to Veva and Robert Owen LaNeve in Weatherford. She was a professional dancer and singer in her youth, continuing her love of music throughout her life. She earned a nursing degree from St. Louis University, as well as a degree in music from the University of Cincinnati. Maurine married Frank J. O'Laughlin in 1951 and, in Chicago, raised two children whom she nurtured throughout her life. She was a Lady of the Holy Sepulcre, a rancher, a faithful and tireless volunteer for her church, for Girl and Boy Scouts, a loving Meme, a genorous friend and the greatest Mom. She was loved by many family and friends. Maurine was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. O'Laughlin. Survivors: Son, Terry O'Laughlin and wife, Debbie, of Asheville, N.C.; daughter, Mary Sue Blackwell and husband, Searcy Van, of Weatherford; and grandchildren, Tyler and Reid Blackwell.
