Gus N. Linthicum, 84, and his wife, Alma Grace Linthicum, 81, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at their home in Weatherford, Texas where they resided for fifteen years.Gus Linthicum, born in Thorp Spring, Texas, November 26, 1920 was the son of the late Thomas and Lillie Caraway Linthicum.Alma Grace Linthicum was born in Weatherford, Texas on November 26, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Clint and Vida Hardin.Gus was a veteran of World War II, and worked for M.K. Rivers and Lone Star as a foreman and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Grace was a homemaker and member of the Order of the Eastern Stars.Gus and Grace were married for fifty-eight years. They were active members of the Weatherford Senior Center and enjoyed dancing, playing dominos, and canasta. They traveled extensively throughout the United States with their family while Gus worked on the pipeline.Gus and Grace Linthicum are survived by their four children, Gus Linthicum Jr. of Colleyville, Sherry Winnette and husband, Ward of Austin, Jeannie Linthicum of Thorp Spring, Tony Linthicum and wife, Patricia of Bonny Doon, CA. The brother of Gus, Thomas Linthicum of Fayetteville, Arkansas. They were grandparents to William Enckhausen III of Monterrey, Mexico, Robert Enckhausen of Roanoke, Elizabeth Linthicum of Colleyville, Melanie Sorenson, David Hatcher and Robert Hatcher of Cuba, Alabama. They were the great grandparents to Christian Enckhausen of Roanoke. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in the Tin Top Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford.
