Linda Jean Medford, 52, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005 at her home Star Hollow Ranch, surrounded by her dearest friends. She deeply loved her home, but has exchanged it for a heavenly one. Her take-charge personality bravely fought liver cancer for the past eight months.Linda was born in Fort Worth, Texas, but spent most of her life in the Azle- Springtown area. She was a uniquely talented person. The gift of photography inspired her to establish the LJM Studios in Azle. Linda won many awards for her outstanding photographs. Her decorating talent was equally creative. She could take an old board and barbed wire and made it into a work of art.Linda's interests were so varied. She loved to host parties and her flower garden was envied by all. Linda designed and built her kitchen cabinets and much of her furniture. She was an avid collector of antiques. Her love of young people led her to sponsor the Ash Creek Baptist Youth Mission Trips as well as work with the Azle High School yearbook and journalism class.Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Thelma and Jack Medford, and brother, Duane Medford.Survivors include aunts, Vera Hand of Puducah, and Judine Kay of Fort Worth; and several cousins. Her chosen family includes neighbors; life-long friends; a special young man, Taylor Steward; and her dog, Chucky.Funeral services are scheduled 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ash Creek Baptist Church, Azle. Burial will be at the family ranch off Veal Station Road. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Azle Funeral Home.
