Richard E. Olson

Richard E. Olson, 81, a retiree of the Texas Employment Commission and a greatly loved husband of 62 years and father, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005.Richard E. Olson was born May 10, 1923 to Thorvald and Mary Velma Eller Olson. He was a long-time resident of Fort Worth and Weatherford. Mr. Olson honorably served his country during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Demetra Olson of Weatherford; sons, Bruce Olson and wife, Becky of Salt Lake City, Delbert Olson and wife, Charlotte of Arlington, Mickey Olson and wife, Jeannell of Weatherford; daughter, April Smith and husband, Sammy of New Mexico; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister.Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery, Grand Prairie, Texas.
