Marjorie Evelyn Petersen

Marjorie E. Petersen, 88, of Weatherford, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at a local hospital. Ms. Petersen was born in Arcadia, Nebraska on September 25, 1916, the daughter of the late W. W. and Martha Lueck McMichael. She had lived in Weatherford since 2002 and was a former resident of Warren, Pa. She was a graduate of Arcadia, Nebraska High School in 1935. Ms. Petersen taught one-room rural schools for four years in Valley County, Nebraska. She married Bruce A. Petersen February 25, 1939 in Arcadia, Nebraska. Ms. Petersen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children, Robert B., Duane Arthur, twin daughters, Thora and Thelma, Marilyn K.; and granddaughter, Susan Beth Petersen. Ms. Petersen is survived by one son, Ronald M. Petersen of Orange, Texas; two granddaughters, Ronda M. Gray of Graford, Texas and Amy Horvath of Rossford, Ohio, one grandson, Robert Petersen of Macedonia, Ohio; and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Winona Malolepszy of Lincoln, Nebraska and Julia Youngquist of Pasco, Washington. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2005 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Memorial donations may be made to the New River Fellowship Building Fund, 3252 E.
