Doris Louise Baganz, 86, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at a local nursing center.She was born September 2, 1918 in Oakwood, Texas to Elbert and Ray Tubb who preceded her in death. She grew up in Oakwood where she graduated from Oakwood High School. Doris worked for the Oakwood Post Office and Kelly Field in San Antonio.Doris met her husband, Paul in San Antonio and they were married June 20, 1942. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Weatherford.Doris was known for the knitted house slippers she made for family, friends, and charities. She shared them also with sales ladies, cafeteria workers, and bank tellers.The family wishes to thank Holland Lake Nursing Center for their excellent, loving care of Doris during the four years she resided at the nursing center.Doris is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul; daughter, Eleanor Cooper and husband, Farley of Granbury; son, Paul Jr. and wife, Dagmar of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Heather Bayless, Jason Baganz, Marlise Sundermeyer, Kristin Baganz; and four great grandchildren; brother, Robert Ray Tubb of Palestine; and numerous cousins.Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Weatherford. Burial will be 2 p.m. Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Grand Prairie.
