Jackie Lowrie Carter, 82, a retired office manager, passed away Friday, July 1, 2005 in Fort Worth after a short illness.Funeral: 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at White's Azle Chapel. Burial: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 1:00 P.M. until service time. Memorials: may be made to Community Hospice Services, 6100 Western Place, Ste. 500, Fort Worth, TX 76107.Jackie was the second child of nine children born to Ross and Lola Daniel Lowrie, September 13, 1922 in Hunt County. She was a Baptist by faith having accepted Christ at an early age while living in Hunt County. Jackie lived in Hunt County and McCurtain County, Oklahoma before moving to Fort Worth in 1945. She was a graduate of Brantley-Draughon's Business School in Fort Worth. Jackie was employed as Office Manager for National Linen Service from where she retired after many years of service. She was married to James A. Carter on June 10, 1949. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.Survivors: loving husband of 56 years, James Carter; three sisters, Susie Townsend and husband, Bill of Alba, Peggy Roan-Nunn of Rockwall and Barbara Lehew and husband, James of Terrell; three brothers, Jack Lowrie and wife, Ramona of Smithville, Okla.,Robert Lowrie and wife Sue of Royse City and Anson Lowrie and wife Jeanine of Cumby; sister-in-law, Eva Carter of Lipan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
