Mary Devers Driscoll, 80, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2005 in her home.Mary was the daughter of Bernard J. Devers Sr. and Ida Mae Brown Devers. Mary was born in Clay County, Texas on March 11, 1925. She was a graduate of The Academy of Mary Immaculate in Wichita Falls, Texas. She attended the University of Houston. She served as a Pharmacist Mate in World War II in the United States Navy Reserve and was honorably discharged.Mary was active in the Weatherford Garden Club and Avant Gardeners of Fort Worth. She was a Master Flower Show Judge and a Charter Member of District II Texas Garden Clubs.She married Richard E. Driscoll on January 27, 1951 at Holy Cross Church in Houston, Texas.Her brothers, Sam, Henry, Leo, B.J. and Billie predeceased her. Her sisters, Bernice O'Brien and Dorothy Rich also predeceased her.Mary is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard E. Driscoll of Weatherford. She is the mother of Richard E. Driscoll Jr., Mary Teresa Driscoll, Timothy Gerard Driscoll, Shaun Damien Driscoll, and Erin Patricia Driscoll Foust. She is the grandmother of Neil Edward Driscoll and Andrew T. Watts. Mary is also survived by her sisters, Laura Sanders, Genevie Robinson and Margaret Fuller.Funeral Mass is scheduled 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Weatherford. Committal services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery. Rosary services are scheduled 7 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford.
