John Joseph Hopf Jr., 47, a construction superintendent, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter, in Fort Worth. Mr. Hopf served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He formerly owned and operated Gold Eagle Builders in Fort Worth. He was an avid motorcyclist, hunter, fisherman and carpenter. Survivors: Wife, Pat Courter; daughter, Jessica Courter; son, Sean Penwell; father, John Hopf Sr. and wife, Marie; mother, Ruth Leidig; sister, Susan Jimenez; brother, David Hopf and wife, Rebecca; brother, Joseph Hopf; stepmother, Judy Decker; aunt, Erika Schenong; one great-aunt; four uncles in Germany; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
